Since July 2018, Collective Aid has been supporting people on the move stuck in Bosnia and Herzegovina through multiple outlets and projects.

We are currently distributing essential aid like underwear, socks, hygiene packs, clothing, sleeping bags and shoes to people who are sleeping rough around Sarajevo. We collaborate closely with other organizations on the ground on identification and referral of potential cases for basic legal aid and medical interventions. In July 2021 we took over a Glasses Project from another organization. Collective Aid now works together in partnership with a local optician to help people on the move get fitting glasses for themselves

Since November 2019, Collective Aid has been present in Subotica supporting the people on the move sleeping rough in the region around the Hungarian, Croatian and Romanian border. Due to the dangerously cold winters, it is essential that we are there to distribute much needed items.

We support the population in and around Subotica with clothing, blankets, sleeping bags, hygiene items, showers, laundry, food, and drinking water. We facilitate mobile showers near locations where people are sleeping rough.

Blindspots has built a logistics center and a warehouse in the Slovakian border towncenter and a warehouse in the Slovakian border town, which is accessed by trucks of up to 40 tonnes. The logistics center is linked to a growing logistics network of EU countries and imports donations in kind to Ukraine. These are delivered by our Ukrainian drivers as needed. This system avoids that donations which are not needed are distributed and take up storage capacity. The drivers are familiar with the area and well networked, so that they are informed about the current situation and can not only use humanitarian corridors, but also create them.

Our free shop is located next to the Alpha Centre. People from the Samos camp are invited to come to the shop and choose their own clothes and shoes. This is a lifeline for many who have no form of income. We carry out two mass distributions during the year: a summer distribution and winter distribution. 

We also use the shop to create emergency packs of dry clothing for Médecins Sans Frontières who operate an emergency response team for new arrivals landing on the island. 

Every family in our local community, both from the refugee and host communities are invited to visit our Hygiene Free Shop following our health promotion class. In this shop, families get the freedom to decide what they want to take home. People choose from shelves filled with more than 30 different products including cleaning supplies, hygiene products, accessories, and more. 

Due to the extremely confusing and chaotic situation on Lesbos after the fire of the Moria camp, Civilfleet-Support e.V. decided to set up a small and agile team on Lesbos. This ensured that the collected donations reach the people and partner organizations quickly and efficiently. Since then, a structure has been created in cooperation with partner organizations, which today runs a community center together with refugees and organizes, for example, various distributions of donations in kind of clothing, hygiene items and food packages.

People on-the-move on the European borders are forced to live in inhumane conditions. Governments and large organizations fail - in Greece, Bosnia, France and beyond. People from across the continent decide to put their solidarity into action and support with in-kind donations. 

From our hub in Frankfurt am Main, we want to help other groups in their collection, sorting and logistics of humanitarian aid. We regularly send transports with essential relief goods to groups on the ground. 

Our main focus in the Sarajevo canton is distributing necessary items to and organising computer classes for people living in Ušivac refugee camp.

A Drop in the Ocean has a team on the ground consisting of experienced coordinators, local- and community volunteer field workers. We have been present in Bosnia and Herzegovina since December 2020, assisting with distributions and organising activities.

Following Russia's attacks on Ukraine in February 2022, millions of people were forced to flee their country. By March 2022, Internationaler Bund Polska in partnership with Drop in the Ocean set up "Szafa Dobra" a.k.a the Wardrobe for Good, out of a former shopping center in Krakow. There, people fleeing the war with nothing to their name but the what they are wearing can select clothes they need in dignified conditions.

Our warehouse in Thessaloniki serves as a logistical hub for humanitarian aid, benefitting thousands of refugees in Northern Greece. We source supplies locally and receive aid deliveries from abroad. Supplies are stocked in the warehouse and distributed to refugees by our volunteer team and partner organisations. This support network serves eleven camps and a number of urban projects in the region. Our approach is needs-based and flexible. We focus on closing supply gaps, providing for refugees who lack institutional support and on responding to emergencies.  

Located just 100 meters from the refugee camps in Serres, Greece, LHI's Refugee Center is a buzzing hive of education and healing. Classes are held on a range of subjects including English, German, music, and much more. There’s a Female-Friendly Space, a Child-Friendly Space, a computer space, and an aid distribution warehouse that provides dry food, fresh produce, diapers, and an array of hygiene supplies.

The Free Shop is a project which makes a difference. We do not only bring people these items, but provide them with the freedom to choose the specific items they need themselves. Without anyone deciding it for them.

Through The Free Shop we aspire to improve the quality of life in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. Everyone is different: each family has different needs. The Free Shop has been built with exactly this in mind.

In the heart of Nea Kavala camp A Drop in the Ocean support displaced persons by organizing various activities such as non-formal education for adults, activities for women, and youth. We also support integration efforts through our InfoHub. The team distributes clothes, food and other non-food items to meet the needs of the camp residents.
Since September 2022, A Drop in the Ocean has started operating in Alexandria camp, distributing food and non-food items. Our main goal is further to expand our support with the implementation of activities.
